School Workshops

I have worked within a number of Primary and Secondary School settings, running tailored workshops to groups of students.

In advance, I work with the teacher to understand the aims of the workshop, and what will be created on completion.

During the workshop the students learn how to make nail and thread art. They will learn how to use hammer safely, learn to tie knots, improve their fine motor skills, whilst also making something creative that they feel proud of. The final work being an individual piece to take home or display in school, and a large scale collaborative piece to be on display in school.

Depending on what is created during the workshop, these workshops are suitable for all abilities, aged 8 - 16 years.

Workshops can be adjusted to suit the timetable of the school. For example a three hour workshop can be split into two 1.5 hours.

I have three years experience of running this workshop within a range of youth, community and school settings.
