I've always feared creating architecture out of thread and nail, only sticking to portraits, and some landscape work. Architecture appears so complex in detail and so I always steered clear of it. However, recently I've been wanting to challenge myself, and I'm very pleased with the result.

I have used three different threads - black, grey and cream - to ensure the viewer can see the depth of the work, the direction of sunlight, and the shadow that forms across the bridge. I have painted some nail heads black, to create a further indication of shadow.

This is a made to order piece. The work is completely unique - it is impossible to replicate a piece exactly as all work is handmade. If bought, the piece received will look as close to the image as possible, without looking identical.
