I had so much fun with this piece, and the result is a work that I am really proud of. 
 
I love blending colours whcih shouldn't go together, but somehow really do. This work is made up purples, golds, greys and peaches. The result being an explosive mix of colours. The bkacground layer of paint was deliberately applied in a chaotic and loose way, to work in contrast to the very refined and angular threadwork.
 
I wanted the subject's eyes to pierce you, and I feel I have achieved this!
