One of my braver pieces, I've minimised the threaded image from below the neck,  allowing the paint to take over.
 
For ages I've relied too heavily on the thread, and not allowed the paint to take over. Finally I've created a piece where the paint starts to vaguely depict the form of the subject.
 
I have a love for candy-like colours - pinks, yellows and golds. I've blended these in painterly splatters and broad brushtrokes, whilst the overlaying threaded image is depicted in strong bright pinks and purples, with a hint of bright turquiose. 
 
(Shhhhh but this is probably my favourite piece to date!!)
